By joining Theta, I found that connection I was looking for, but I also found so much more. The girls I’ve met here have been some of the most amazing and impactful people I’ve ever met— not just at Delaware, but in my entire life. There is something so special about someone who will always be there, whether you want a froyo/homework buddy or you’re having a rough day and really need a hug. Theta has given me over one hundred people like that, and I can honestly say that joining this sorority has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’ve found friends and roommates. I’ve found a family. I’ve found confidence, passion, and unconditional love. But above all, within Theta I finally feel like I’ve found my home."

"My first semester at Delaware was nothing like I had expected; so much that by the end of winter session, I had all of my transfer applications filled out with the intention of leaving Delaware at the end of the year. However, I decided to give recruitment a chance, and since I signed my bid to Theta, I haven't looked back. Theta has given me a group of sisters, friends, soulmates, roommates and everything in between. Theta has allowed me to grow, to lead, and to become a better person. I can truly say that Theta has been the best part of my college experience and has shaped me in so many ways. TLAM always."

My brother's fiance was also a part of Theta at UD and graduated in 2012. Now, years later, all of her bridesmaids except for two are Thetas, and I am one of them! "I love Theta because I've never felt more like myself than when I am surrounded by my sisters. During recruitment, I always felt like I was trying really hard to impress girls. But when I was in Theta, it just felt like talking. Bid Night was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had because I felt so comfortable just being completely myself in a room almost exclusively full of strangers. Theta has done more for me than just introducing me to new friends and new experiences, which it has done immensely; Theta taught me who I am, and who I want to be. "As a sophomore here at UD, my friend and I were talking about how she came to college to find her bridesmaids rather than her husband, and the more I thought about my college experience, the more I realized I had never found my bridesmaids. Not only was I able to find my future bridesmaids through the incredible friends I have made in Theta, but I was able to find friends that I genuinely missed on spring breaks and summer vacations and who I knew enjoyed my company as much as I enjoyed theirs. Thanks to Theta, I have friends who I can count on for anything and know that they have found the same in me. Even though I may be graduating soon, I know that the bond we have formed in these past two years is something that cannot be broken through distance or time."
