Sisterhood

Sisterhood is often said to be the foundation of a sorority. Indeed, sisterhood is the backbone of who we are as a chapter. It is because of the sisterhood shared among the sisters of Zeta Tau that we are able to achieve all that we dream and are able to have a little fun along the way. From our service events to socials, none of it would be possible without a network of sisters who support each other endlessly. This supportive sisterhood takes shape in a friendly wave on your way to class or that person you can call after a long day; it is knowing that you always have someone for whatever you may need whether a person to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on, or a listening ear whenever you need.

The essence of what it means to be sister in this chapter is unconditional support for one another, acceptance of whoever you are, and always someone to spend time with. In a structured sense, our sisterhood is enhanced through our sisterhood retreats, holiday events, and other events. This past year our sisters went bowling together and have traveled to nearby cities such as Washington, DC and Hershey Park for sisterhood retreats. More informally though our sisterhood is celebrated through lunch dates on Main Street, study buddies for long nights at the library, or pals to spend your weekend with. Our sisterhood is something truly treasured by our chapter and something I am thankful to be a part of every day.
